Laser surgery for equine tumour and sarcoid removal.
Emily 15th December 2015 Uncategorised 0The carbon dioxide laser used to removed equine tumours and sarcoids at our clinic is a powerful and highly accurate laser which is approved for human tumour removal. Its use in sarcoid removal is associated with over a 90% success rate. It minimises bleeding and reduces the possible seeding of tumour cells to different sites. Please watch the following video which demonstrates the removal of tumour and the subsequent healing of the wound over the ensuing 2 months. The surgery was performed by our visiting expert in sarcoid and tumour treatment Jeremy Kemp-Symonds BA (Hons), BSc (Hons), Msc, BVMS, MRCVS.
